Thanks guys! Thats really what I was guessing at. And yes I definitely wan to get an SS, I just cant make up my mind... Im considering performance but Im also considering a good deal of other things, being that this will be my primary vehicle. Im sure the 2wd gets considerably better mileage but when we do get snow/ice here Im sure the AWD would be nice. 2wd would prolly be cheaper too... My S-10 is completely finished up with a/v which is cool I guess but the smallness is killin me. Im 6'2" (Its a single cab! ) . I need a real truck lol. IDK im still searching to find one that sticks out at me... I really appreciate the help guys!

I did use the search button, for this specific forum and for all the forums. Just couldn't quite come up with a large enough sample for an average. Tried again but its still hard to get an "average" for stock times for both... I saw one post as I did earlier about a stock 2wd ran a 14.8 but thats about it. I saw several other posts where people posted their stock times but it did not say wether or not they were 2wd or awd in the post or under their avatars... And the stickies at the top are pointless (for my purpose) cuz they dont state awd/2wd, just modifications etc... I realize this is an annoying ? but I was just curious cause obviously the awd should get better traction on the launch but as it runs through the gears it seems it would have more power loss through the drivetrain... idk... Sorry for wasting time.

Just curious, which ones run fastest at the track stock and modded? Sorry bout the noob ? but I searched every forum for topics on AWD vs RWD or 2WD etc etc and it never would pull anything up.
