  1. Sorry i'll stick with my SS. I don't like the idea of riding in a turbo-charged coffin. I'll take good 'ol V8 horsepower over that 4cyl crap anyday. I do have to say that those Evo's are pretty damn quick though. :chevy:

  2. Nice, another kill and another embarassed loser.............it must suck losing when your girl is in the truck with you.............especially when she convinced you to run................ :chevy:

LOL :D , he probebly had a hard time dealing with the loss of dignity. :jester:

:) more like his pride because he got his ass handed to him...in front of his girl............ :chevy::cheers:

  4. what kinda exhaust you get fireman31?.... I want an exhaust thats not too loud... But strong enough to make people look u know?

GM Performance Parts # 17800765 and tip # 17802143. My buddy works at a local Chevy dealership here in NY and got me the kit for $473 and the tip for $84.

The kit is manufactured by Borla and is mandrel bent 304 stainless. It is much louder than stock with mild drone. Trust me when I say that it is not loud enough inside to annoy my girlfriend, but is loud enough to turn the guys head next to you at the stoplight when you crack the throttle........................... :chevy:

  5. I don't know about anyone else, I didn't buy an SS for the gas mileage. I check it every once and a while, but if I was that concerned about gas I would have bought a Hyundai.............................. :flag::chevy:

  6. Has anyone with a 2wd SS had any problems with traction in the snow????

If you live in an area that gets snow and you bought a 2wd SSS with no other vehicle to drive during the winter you're effin'

maybe so, i didn't have the option of AWD otherwise I would have gotten it. So what if its 2wd, I love my SS and wouldn't trade it for anything. Sorry not all of us have money for a second vehicle. I had to trade in my last car so I could get the SS..................... :driving:

  7. watch the diesels---I had a run in with an F-250 with a 6" lift, Powerstroke, and a Banks 6 Gun setup. We ran him from a dig and he had 1/2 truck length on me off the line. I was able to pull on him in second gear and get 1/2 truck length ahead of him. I beat him but then realized that I almost had my ass handed to me by a diesel. BE CAREFUL-- these modified deisels (Ford Chevy or Dodge) are no joke................................... :chevy:

  8. CAI- K&N makes a nice one, I have the 57-series, costs around $200-250

Exhaust - GM Performance Parts Cat Back, you can get the entire kit and the tip

for under $600 (did I mention that it is made by Borla?)

Tune- I went with a Hypertech Power Programmer III, costs around $300-350.

Even though it is a basic tune, you can feel the difference

in performance and you can even check DTCs. If I had

the money I would do a custom tune.

good luck with your decision :chevy:
