  1. Any help would be appreciated guys! Any 04 and 05 SSS guys have any input on this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BTW this is the new no oil filter with the straight redesigned intake tube. Along with hitting the fan its also pushing on the fan shroud pretty hard and the tubing barely reaches the filter box and I do mean barely...and thats with moving the rubber piece at the end of the tubing. The coupler was all the way on the throttle body so thats not the issue.
  2. Got this today and tried installing it a friends shop....my fan rubs on the tubing...this a known problem or anybody else had this problem? yes I have tried to search for answers
  3. Everything stated above is so true...I got my truck about 30 days ago...and never even thought about a Mod until visiting this site. I don't think it ever ends and I have just started.
  4. I love the SSS...my wife says im obssed. I have only had mine about 30 days and already fell in the Mod trap. I almost bought an 02 SS Camaro and I'm so glad I didn't. Camaros are a dime a dozen....I seen one SSS in my area (north central Arkansas) and it wasn't local. Just need the younger crowd to start challenging me more with those Camaros and Mustangs
  5. I have yet to find anybody to race or even play with me A co-worker has a Grand Prix GT with the 5.3...its his wife's ride and wants to line them up on the airport strip at work. I'm 99% sure its completely stock. I have no idea if I could take him or not but agreed to it anyway. I got two mods coming in the mail...trying to hold him off a few days
  6. as promised...the pretty titty Click me
  7. pics almost ready....check back tomorrow
  8. Looking for SS hitch cover..pls pm if you have one to sell or reply with a website to buy. I'm not liking many I see online.
  9. pretty solid 06 for me...looked bad at the start but finished with a bang...sold my 93 Chevy Silverado that I had for 8 years for my wife a new ride. Drove her damn car for way to long before finding a SS. But I'm really looking forward to 07...my youngest will be out of day care and start school. Day care is a killer on the budget.
  10. I'm still very new the forum and I use the search button A LOT and I also pm a few guys that appear to have knowledge in what I'm asking and they have been VERY helpful. The search button is not a cure all....its very handy but lots of posts and information thru it are dated. I agree everybody should use the search...but maybe come across a little nicer about it next time. For instance my first pm back to me answered the question I asked and also told me to use the search a lot. He killed two birds with one stone. Jawing with a new guy about something this minor really has a negative effect on the forum. IMO
  11. so my 4 year old son has a friend over for the night and he walks around all night calling our kitty and telling my wife her kitty is pretty... the funny part is this kid cant say kitty...he was saying titty all night LOL ...telling my wife she has a nice and pretty titty LOL
  12. at what point do you think it shouldnt be ignored? My SS has 21K miles and I have had it about 30 days. Just noticed a growl/grinding noise from the front tires at low speeds and turning.
  13. How do they handle in the snow? We usually get one or two snow storms around the first of the year. I go to work at 2 in the morning....I usually had the first tracks on the road in my past vehicles. Thought about using my wife's 4x4 Trailblazer if the SS didn't handle it well. Lots of curves and hills in the Ozarks.
  14. Looking for complete CAI set up...pm me pls
  15. sell it yet? work with a non supercharged 6.0?
  16. I agree, K&N 57-series FIPK. Better peformance, sound, and fuel ecomomy. No problems either. The MAF sensor problems occur if you over oil the K&N after cleaning it. I had that problem on my Grand Prix GTP. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whats the different between the 57 series and the 77 series? I found the 77 series on ebay for 165
  17. it is the front differential. I've had mine replaced twice and it comes back after 6-10k miles. I believe its the bearings inside the diff that are making the growl noise.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whats that costing you each time?
