ss wrecker

it was a bitch. i had to make 2 spacers three inch spacers and 2 2 1/2 inch spacers for the center bumper brackets. then i drilled 2 holes right above where the bar that mounts to the outside bracket mounted to the frame. i also made some brackets to move my foglights back so they wouldn't hit the vents.

the reason i left the flares alone was our company colors are red and black and the boom is black. i had the body shop paint the wheels black for now until i can get some alcoas for it. and by the way your truck is badass man i like the tranny swap, i wouldn't mine putting the new six speed auto in mine, not a big fan of driving a stick all the time, they can be fun though the second is what i was looking for thanks. helped me decide i'm have it painted all red

all the lights on my ss are made by JDM no i'm not going to get the cladding because i already have the truck lettered and that isn't cheap to replace. color matching the grill would look good but i kind of like the chrome grill on that truck because it has small touches of chrome throughout the truck

debating painting it all red, or just the top of it red and leaving the lower half black. could someone photoshop it to help me decide

i got a set of the 12 way lumbar heated seats like in my ss to put in my wrecker but the leather is torn up and the wrong color to boot. need at least the front seat covers but would like the back to. thx Justin

you don't have to have the pcm programmed for the fog lights, i added them to my wrecker and they work fine, i also hooked them to the ss before i put them on the wrecker and they worked. but to make them work with an ss bumper your gonna have to make a bracket that moves them back a couplr inches so they don't hit the vents.

looks good man i see you found a grill

i got the top cap for a half ton and put it on but there is a large gap between the bumper cover and fenders and grill. is there a way to raise the bumper up a couple of inches without to much work

when i got my headlight housings out of the box to install them there is a warning sticker on them that says no hids because it will mess up the halos

dumbass, looks like he needed a wrecker after that little bit of stupidity

the heat from the hids messes up the halos so either you get the halos and put silverstars in or you keep the factory housings and buy the hid kits

do it man i have the same tailights except on mine the lenses are clear which i hope to have them smoked soon. but i like how they look a lot better than the regular tails

got the bumper cover from Braddub and want to mount it correctly. rough ridin' truck so i want it to be able to handle all the bounces this truck has. thx Justin

i'm running an Alpine IVA W200 that is et up like his except for the navigation isn't part of it but i have an Alpine Blackbird GPS unit that has a docking that wires into it and works perfectly for me. cost about 1600 bucks for the screen and blackbird

also have a real ss bumper painted black with a few nicks here and there. i'll sell that to you for $250. if your willing to hang onto it for a couple weeks i would like to buy it, thanks justin -(9403680623) no i love them both equally except for the fact that the wrecker pays for my ss, so i gotta love it(plus i have the best of both worlds a fas t gas truck and a fast quiet diesel). when i got the wrecker i wanted to make a working show truck out of it, because there is a guy in town that has a show truck that he has so much money invested in and its actually not in that good a shape, but he wins almost every show he enters it in. He is also what i call a parking lot vulture, he goes out in the middle of the night and impounds cars all night and rapes you on his charges. which i will admit i'm our impound driver but i don't go out every night and impound someone's car, i make my money without having to do that to much. although i would probably have the extra cash to buy this bumper if i did.

wish i had 300 bucks to spare right now because i'd come to dallas and get it to put on my wrecker
