    Was 19 when I got my truck paid for it in full cash.. 20 now.

     

     

    Beat up a lot of kids for their lunch money? lol just kidding man!

     

     

    But yeah I'm 20 and work my a$$ of to pay for the truck. Going to be working 10x as hard when I get into the Navy :flag:

     

    As for my 1st truck... 2000 Tacoma. ( Back-seat was tiny :jester: )

    Put that money into a tune and a new intake. Along with that you can look at some cheap mods to go with it. Like a 160 t-stat (be sure to put some water wetter in with your new coolant!) Doing that will really wake your truck up. Be sure to not forget the exhaust somewhere down the line! :thumbs: Good luck to ya!

    Can you give me mor details on this? Are you going in full time for 4 years? do you have to spend 2 years over seas like they use to? I've been throwing around the idea of joining up and i'm getting old(32) but the navy age limit is 34. I thought about joining out of high school but got a full ride to play football in college. Back then I think people who joined with a college degree went in as officers, not sure. It's been a long time sinec I thought about the armed forces.

    Thank you all for your encouragement! I am very excited to get to training. I am trying to psych myself into the whole thing. I really cant wait to hit the FMF though. I just now have to stop eating burgers and start running lol. I'll get there though!

    Congrats. If you joined up to be a corpsman or as we call them, "Doc" then you are going to be speding some time with the Marines.

     

     

    Thank guys! But yes I want to be with the Marines the entire time I'm active. I was going to join the Marines first but they did not have medical, so this way I get the best of both worlds! :thumbs:

    So like the title says, I joined the Navy today! My job will be Corpsman (a medic) I'm going to do everything possible to be FMF (Fleet Marine Force) Which means I will train with the Marines and be their medic in the field. I went to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) And got one of the last Corpsman positions available. My contract is under "National Call to Service" which means after all of my training I will be active duty for 15 months (god willing with the Marines) And then after that time I go reserve for 2 years. It seems like a pretty good deal, I want the experience but I don't want to be away from home for forever and a day. And on top of everything they gave me a $5,000 signing bonus. I'm leaving for boot camp on August 15th so I still have a while to get in shape and be ready to go! So anyways I just wanted to share my excitement! :flag:

    I tinted mine a bit by using nite shade and some high gloss clear coat. They came out okay...I have a dog that sheds a lot and one of her hairs got in the paint when it was being sprayed. If you are careful and use the right products you can get it done pretty easy and cheap!

     

    Chase did an awesome write up on DIY tails. I followed it and they came out pretty nice.
