marc_w Posted March 4, 2005 Report Share Posted March 4, 2005 Yeah, I'm running Dynatechs too. I second everything NS said above. I had some leaks, but it was my fault. Just make sure you use new MLS (multi layer steel) gaskets for the head-to-header connection... and make sure the clamps in the y-pipe area (if you're using Dynatechs) are all secure and sealing well. Mine were secure, but not sealing well. I used some stuff called something lame like "Space Aged Exhaust Sealant" that's a rubbery strip of "stuff" that you apply to exhaust connections. With heat it expands and seals things up. It sounds like a PITA, but it was nothing. Thanks for the compliment, Coda - I do have the HF cats with the Dynatechs... mine did seem to get louder. I had to take off the exhaust support bracket on the tranny to make everything fit so I want to have some more support engineered in. Gotta luv it!
