High Output Alternator

With the upcoming electric fan install and already powering the auxillary Radix fuel pump.

Would it be wise to upgrade from the 105 amp to a 145 amp?

I can get one for $85 shipped from the seller the fans came from.

I already have an extra PCM coming from him for $70.

I'm going to hook up with Allen and have it tuned live.

I would,

I spent over $100 on my 145 alt.

The alt pulley does sit approx, 3/8 higher than the 105 so I went with a slightly longer belt. The stock belt was alittle too tight.

I upgraded the 8 gauge wire to 4 gauge from the alt to the red junction box. I don't think it was needed but it was only $10.

You don't have undersized pulleys, so you'll be fine with the stock alt. You shouldn't notice any difference from the fuel pump and the fans will only draw it down when they first start up - should, anyway.

From a cost standpoint, that is a great price and you may want to grab one for any future failure.
