Failed catalytic converter?

Has anyone here seen a failed cat on a Supermax header system? Received an engine code that turned out to be "low cat efficiency, bank one" or something to that effect.

I'm running a radix w/ 3", Supermax systemw/ Corsa, and Nelson tune.

I wouldn't doubt it. A supercharger can generate alot of heat.

It's not that uncommon to get bad rear O2 readings with LT's and aftermarket cats, especially with FI as BigTex indicated.

You may not have a bad converter at all. It just may not be fully up to the task of meeting factory emissions standards with the increased exhaust flow.

If you keep setting the code, you might want to think about having your rear O2 sensors shut off (Allen can do this) or go with some O2 sims.

Depending on regulations in your area, if you still pass the tailpipe test you should be good to go.
