Bad Bowtie
Does anyone else here own a 2004-5 VHO? Mine has 500 miles on it and like my dad's 2004 VHO it has a front end steering pop when turning left or right in drive or reverse. Usually when your going up/down and incline, out of a drive way, etc. I work with a guy who owns a 2004 Chevy VHO and the dealership told him it was a design issue in which "the steering gear bolts to the chassis were only slotted on one side and not the other..." Just checking b/f I take mine in for service.... Jon R. TX
BRUTONMOTORSPORTZ
My 04 VHO does it. My dealer has already fixed it once. I believe it has something to do with the steering shaft. There is a bulletin out on it.

Or as of 05 a 2wd SS minus the body cladding.
jgwatsonjg
Its Actually an 03-05 thing. Check out http://www.gmtechlink.com/images/issues/cnt_mo/TLcme.html Go Down to the truck issues and find the one that says Snapping/Popping noise from the front end. It has to do with the front crossmember. My 05 Av just started exhibiting the behavior about 2 days ago. JW
