pharmb
I was having my oil changed last week, preparing to pull the boat to the FL Keys for a long weekend when... the techinician told me the front differential was leaking like a b*&C^! ;) The dealership fixed just in time the following day. Apparently GM using some sort of marine tex to seal the two halves of the differential i/o a gasket. They didn't put enough on @ the factory hence the leak. Made it to the keys, no problems, 287miles each way avg. 9.6mpg, going 70-75mph.

BenKey
Made it to the keys, no problems, 287miles each way avg. 9.6mpg, going 70-75mph Look like you got decent mileage, depending on the weight of the boat.
FalconPilot
When I changed the oil in mine, there were no visible leeks, The level was about 1/2to1/4" below the fill hole Chad
pharmb
;) The gas mileage was decent I thought, the boat was an 18' Boston Whaler w/ 115hp 4 stroke, probably in the neighborhood of 4500 lbs.
Krambo
Did my 2nd oil change this weekend and noticed the red "gasket" ( liquid seal) smushing out. I thought my diff was leaking! ...Just the gasket though!
pharmb
I wish they would've put enough on mine to "smush out"! Probably a pretty good sign you won't have any trouble, knock on wood.
