fox_forma Posted August 22, 2005 Report Share Posted August 22, 2005 it is just paint. the powder coating on my old grill was starting to flake so I was going to flake it off and paint over it then sand the front off. Once I painted it I kind of liked the way it looked <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i have never heard of powder coating just flake off that stuff is usually damn near bullet proof. oh well still looks good anyway <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you dont properly bake it correctly when you powder coat it will flake off eventually, had it happen to both my dirt bike frames when they got powdercoated. I was just looking on the chevy site and I see the SS is going to have a new grill, it doesn't look to bad. Wounder how it would look to put that on my SS with the inserts, might look nice.
