iwineng03ss
i ended up going with the 2nd of the two units i posted.. looks like a sweet unit. i did have to buy a chime retainter unit they told me.. its plug and play supposedly.. the only thing i didnt get was the steering wheel controls right now.. i can live without it for now. for those of u that did an aftermarket head unit what did u buy to retain your steering wheel controls.. they told me the model but i didnt write it down like a dummy.. also they told me that i had to use the chime retainer or stuff wouldnt work right in the truck is this true? thanks again.. iwineng03ss
after doing some research this is what i found to use with bose system and onstar http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1075584078144 and to retain steering wheel controls which i will get later http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1099396990906 stuff is expensive!! when i first ordered the stuff the ebay store had ordered this one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1108126081704 and from reading i dont think it will work with the bose system but they argued and argued with me i finally got them to just switch to the one i posted above... from the one they originally ordered for me.. at times ebay is nice but other times like this its a pita.. 6.0ss
Let us know when you get the steering wheel controls to work and how well it works, some feed back on here has said there is quite a delay from when you push the button till action is taken! iwineng03ss
it will be some time before i do the steering wheel controls since i have to buy two of everything!! bought the two head units and then the interface to make the units plug and play with the bose system.. now i can sell my pac unit that i have because i did have my stock radio running my subs and amp with the pac unit now i think its pretty much useless..
