Installing Hotchkis sways

Hi all

I am going to be installing Hotchkis sway bars, and am wondering if I should/need to change the shocks at the same time. My truck has 23k miles at stock height so the OEMs are probably not worn out, but I've been pleased with installing Bilsteins on other cars in the past that didn't really need it (but showed an improvement).

Any ideas?

Not much to take advantage of from the install for shocks. You don't have to remove the shocks to get the sway bars in. So in less you really want to, I don't think you "should", really. You will see an improvement if you did though. The stock shocks are nothing special. Steering/handling-wise, both at the same time will max you out on handling improvement. I liked them both at the same time on my last truck.

I know they don't have to come off for the sway bar work, I just thought since the truck is already on the rack, tools out, etc. Plus since the stockers are kind of bouncy maybe do it all at once, unless it's not a worthwhile $250 upgrade...
