trialsman
Did this just to see what it sounded like because The Magnaflow and Flowmaster mufflers are just a little too loud for my taste. If you cut off the dual tailpipes exits right at the muffler, you will see a baffle just inside the left exit (looking toward front of truck) I used a hole saw and cut a 1 1/2" hole in that baffle then ran duals to just behind rear wheels. It has a nice tone but is not loud. Kind of between the stock sound on the '06, which isn't bad, and the aftermarket sound. Just an option... Rays B4U
Did it add any in-cab resonance?
BenKey
At least half of the reason to go with aftermarket is performance gain from the extra flow you would have. Stock muffler just isn't any good in that respect. Try going to a flo~pro. Stock size, very little difference in cab resonance, and much better flow-wise. Exhuast note is pretty nice also.
