Friday25
Need to know where i can get a lower temp fan switch for when i throw in this 160 degree thermostat.....or if i really need to change the switch, it would make sense that i would have to since it kicks the fans on at like 195.... Thanx
StealthSS
I dont think there is a thermal fan switch---long ago, the e-fans were controlled by the ECM, based on input from the coolant temp sensor, which supplied them with a ground when they were needed. Having not tried changing stock PCM programming yet, I have no idea.
BenKey
Go to Jegs or Summitt. They have the thermal switches. Or, you could just get a custom tune and get the temps changed to come on. Don't think though that they will never come on just because they may be set at 195 and your thermo is 165. They will be kicking on, trust me. zippy
Just put the thermostat in. When you get some tuning done that will fix the fan temps.
