HARTMAN INC
How do times pan out average for trucks & cars in distance ahead ??? In the snowmobile drags we run 1/10sec = about 10ft... Here's the box stock times the 2003 snowmobiles are running... 2003 Old Forge Shootout
Krambo
Well, this figure actually depends on the rate of speed. It will be a log function. Maybe an asymptote (math guys help me out!) Quick example: A 13.9 sec car will be about 9 & 1/3 feet "quicker" than a 14 sec car however, A 11.9 sec car will be about 11 feet "quicker" than a 12 sec car. This is of course in a like for like situation, throw a turbo in the mix and it will yield slightly different results. Now that I most likely gave incorrect info, I hope someone else will do the math and maybe come up with a function (equation). If not, I will do my best to help ya out. Oh, is the Old forge times on grass or ice? They seem a little slow, must be totally stock sleds. I did an unofficial ice drag at Old Forge (lake 4) and had agreat time! HARTMAN INC
Thanks Krambo, that's good enough... I was only looking for an "about"... Yep, those are straight out of the box, dealer prepped sleds on snow... I've been working on my sled for the last 3-days straight... Hopefully all the parts will show up this week... I'll post pic's on our site (link in signiture block) of the mods, eventually...
