remi_357
Hi guys I just installed a amp and sub in my 03 ss now I have a major issue. About 60% of the time I drive my truck, everything resets while driving down the road. However the truck still runs and drives just fine. However the security light on the dash stays on after this happens. No wires are touching after the install. The power wire is directly from the battery, the ground is from a rear seat bolt, remote from the igition switch, and the rcas come from the plug and play converter, I think its the pac brand. I have also tried resetting the truck by disconnecting the negetive terminal for a hour. What's going on?
04CHASE
make sure your power wire has good connections, may be a loose end somehwere. also make sure you scratch all the paint off on the ground so it has a bare metal to metal contact!
remi_357
I'm not talking about the amp reseting, I'm talking about the truck itself, the dash, stock stereo, and the dic comes up unknown driver then back to driver

Jonmalibuss
Do you know if this happened before you installed all the sterio equipment? My 04 SS had done similar things and I never messed with the electronics in it. My dads 04 also had major wireing issues and it was bone stock. Simon
Same thing just happened to me! All the electronics freaking out!!! I couldn't believe that a weak battery would do that. I changed it and after a while everything went to normal. "unknow driver", doors not locking, all guages at the off position, no power windows, the truck drove fine but all the "luxury stuff" was really disturbed! Man, why didn't she tell me her battery was on her way. Simon
