edessa Posted September 24, 2003 Report Share Posted September 24, 2003 This is my prototype home made bowtie. As you can see the corners need to be rounded off. The "SS" is freehanded with a black marker. The aluminum is about 0.032" thick. The final version will be around 0.050" thick with a brushed finish and will have raised letters for the "SS". The letters will be painted arrival blue to match the truck. And finally I will top it off with about 3-5 coats of clear coat for good protection. It will be another month or so before the final version is complete due to the fact that I am fabricating the whole thing by hand. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
