California housing proces are unreal; my folks in 2001 sold their 10-acres in Turlock for $410K; they then bought 140-acres here for $145K (included a 3bdrm house and 7000 sq-ft shop).

I did it...I finally got the country property I've always wanted...

the owner and myself shook on it, and the papers got drawn up yesterday for the purchase of my new pad!! The house is a dive (only 837 sq feet), but I'm gonna add a room for now and eventually put in another house and rent the small one out!

Acres are HARD to come by out here in CALI... so I had to jump on it when it came up... I was stressin for a minute though because I thought that new boat I got was gonna screw up the financing...  but its all good now... should get the keys on July 1st...a whole 2.5 acres thats all mine!

nows the time to get my toys from me for cheap... :jester:

The 38ft fifth wheel is included in the purchase, as is a ridin mower, AND its got enough garage space to garage the new boat....and 2-3 cars!!  Don't mean to toot my own horn, I'M JUST EXSTATIC and wanted to share!!!

check out the pics...

Congrats on the land. I bought my 2.5 acres a couple years ago. I'm hoping to start building next summer. Theres something about 2+ acres that you almost have to experience to understand. I'm sure you'll love it.

Man that looks like a sweet place. Love the country living.

After running my uncles ranch (50miles SE of denver) for a year in 04, I bought my house in the suburbs of denver..... I can't wait till I move back to the country... I'm sick of all the stupid crap that comes with an urban area... I got a warning the other day about my trash cans in front of my garage... 48 hrs to move or I'd get a ticket :banghead:

Congrats!!!!!
