budhayes3
Seven years after taking delivery of the truck, and about two or so years of talking about it, I finally debadged the thing this past Sunday. I also removed the tow hooks a few weeks ago. Still need to buff around where the old mouldings were, but the transformation is coming along. There's some minor bodywork in the future, and hopes for a rollpan and eventual cowl hood. I've also wanted a Z71 Tahoe front grille and bumper and painted mirror caps, but I go back and forth between that and the current chrome stuff...but here's what I have for now

misterp
Looking good - KEEP GOING!!! Definitely get the painted mirror caps and Tahoe front-end, then suggest lowering it 1.5 to 2 inches. Mr. P.
fordsareslow
Looks good When are you planning on swapping in the 6.0?
budhayes3
Thanks everybody! Looks good When are you planning on swapping in the 6.0? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhhhh....good question. Actually, My heads should be back from WCCH soon (they finished them up at the end of last week), and I dropped the block off at my dad's shop a few weeks ago. Now I have to find time to go over there, get it up on an engine stand, and work on it. We have a baby on the way that's due around Sep 6, and I was hoping to have the engine done first, but I'm not so sure it's gonna work out that way...so hard to find the time
