sirk
hey guys. i take delivery of my new truck in 4 days and was wondering a few things. are the silverado badges on the back just held on by glue or do they go into the body? reason i ask is i tried to debadge my ranger once and it had inserts into the body so i couldnt do it. thanks for any feedback. 2006_superado
just use a heatgun or a blow dryer a blow dryer will take longer but if you never used a heat gun it would be safer... warm up the emblem you want to remove (if you use a heatgun be careful you can melt the paint if you stay in one spot too long) and use a plastic spreader to slide behind it... that should do the trick.. or it might just pull off but i use the spreader to get it started... good luck, and enjoy your new truck

montanass
use some heat and some dental floss... it'll come right off... then use some 3m Adhesive Remover (you can get it at NAPA) to remove the remainder of the double stick.
