ssfromsd Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 looking at some GM GPS Head units on egay. just a couple questions. What code does the ss need Y91 or UQ7? And can i put antenna under my xm bump on my roof that i dont use? and will it be a direct hookup to my stock system(no 6 disc changer)? i know there are prob better aftermarket ones but i want a stock look and not a flip out, i dont like the looks of those as much. detjoe Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 We are not Y91, you need the other one. the GPS antenna mounts in the dash, about where the light sensor is, I think it is under a vent/defroster unless you get GM changer then no nav and cd at the same time unless you get it ready to accpt your code it will need a trip to tech-2 dealer reset of vin matched radio to truck. print directions for this casue sometimes they act like the dont know squat.
