Holty Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 just noticed today that the bcm does not recognize when i open the driver side door. if i open the passenger door, the dome lights come on and the door ajar warning comes up on the dic. drivers side door does nothing, no dome lights, no warnings or dinging. i'm guessing its a bad switch or loose wire, but don't know where the switch is to check it? any help is appreciated. thanks. They do go bad and are replaceable w/o replacing the whole latch. when you say "latch assemblly", what are you referring to? the inner part of the door handle with rods connecting to the latch, or the actually "hook" that connects the door to the frame of the truck?
