i think cingular finally got a phone worth something. i've had the treo 650 and was just too bulky and a little annoying to use. the razr phone is ok but doesn't have and cool features, cingular just never gets the nice phone that other service providers have. i have nextel for my work phone and their coverage sucks. cingular is my personal phone service and can't wait to see how this phone will work out.

iphone there is also a hour and a half video on there too that shows all the features this phone has. it all amazed me!

I still fail to understand the big deal with cell phones! :dunno:

I see some people always have to have the latest, greatest, newly released cell phones and I just don't understand the mentality of it. All I need to do with my cell is to make and recieve calls, that's it! :flag:

:withstupid: I take it you're a Mac fan? What kind of set up are you running?

I'm still pimping a G4 Cube I bought new in the spring of '01 with a 20" cinema display..... :D:D

And yes the phone is way cool......Steve Jobs just needed to pick a different carrier to put this phone with first......preferably a CDMA carrier as opposed to a GSM carrier. Oh well, at least it's here and running OSX.

im pretty much totally Anti apple..Anti Ipod anything.

MS all the way for me.

Ditto.

I had Apple back in the day ... it all evolved way too slow for me ...

Hell, I remember even pre-Apple ... Radio-Shack TRS-80 ... those were the days! LOL. :puke:

Now, I'm uSoft all the way ... but I am also looking at other systems. Seems all uSoft can come out with lately is memory-hogging software. Why, I ask ... why?

:withstupid: I use my cell phone to make and receive calls that's it. I don't text or anything else. Cell phones are getting stupid. :nono: Who needs a mini computer/cell phone? Just another reason some a-hole will run me off the road so he can play with his iphone :banghead:

Well, I could carry a Palm Pilot for all my numbers, then enter them into a separate cell phone when I make a call. Use a calculator I have to have around as well. Keep a scheduler for my appointments. Carry an MP3 player also. Carry a digital voice recorder for memos. Don't forget a camera. Or I could just use one of the more "stupid" cell phones.

To each his own, it all depends on how you use it. Buying a phone cause it's the "latest" is absurd, but don't discount the functionality of these newer phones.

Oh, and I don't use the TRS-80 anymore either :D

Hell, it's just like everything else man.

You like to mod your truck and have the latest and greatest mods for it, why not your phone?

Most people just use a car to 'get from point A to point B', so why bother to have all the toys on it? :dunno:

Same with computers as well, most people don't need a 22" widescreen display, a terabyte of space and 3 Gigs of RAM, but it sure is nice! :driving:

Some people just like cool stuff, even if it's worthless to 95% of the population.

I'm still using a Commodore 64.  :jester:

 Yeah I like the new iphone but I figure you have to be a computer wiz to work it. I was wanting to try an apple computer but no one here in town that I know of sells them and I want to physically check out a pc before I buy one.
