Hey guys, I'm new here (obviously). I have a 2001 C5 Corvette i'm looking to sell. I am a "super senior" in business school finding myself way too far in debt.. I love cars and planned big things with this car, but ended up getting laid off for 3 months. I am over my head in bills, and have no other choice but to sell my car..

Info:

*2001 C5 Corvette coupe (painted top is removable)

*The car is all black, w/ black interior

*Brand new C6 Z06 wheels w/ 305 18" Nitto Drags on the rear

*The engine was professionally built and dyno tuned by Futral Motorsports in LA.

*LG motorsports 4.10 gears (typical gear whine)

*The car has a ported Fast 90/90 setup Huge heads/cam setup. Dart 225cc heads. I dont recall cam specs at the moment...

*Kooks headers, straight pipes, Borla stingers to eliminate rasp. (**NOT STREET LEGAL! SUPER LOUD!) see videos!

*You will not be mistaken for a stock car. EVERYONE stares at this car as soon as its started. It seriously sounds like a dragster.

*12 disc cd changer

*6-speed manual w/ B &M Ripper short throw shifter & white hurst knob

*Spec 3 clutch

*Heads up display

*8.5 out of 10 interior cleanliness

*8.0 out of 10 on exterior shine/condition. (usual rock marks and faint clear coat scratches, typically seen w/ black vehicles. (front was painted to cover some rock chips. (could use a good buff/wet sand to be at showroom quality)

Body of the car has 81,xxx miles. 15k-20k or so since engine, clutch gear mods.

*looking at this car you would think it had 20-30k on it tops.. Its in very good shape in and out!

*Southern car, NEVER seen winter! Been in MN only 9-10 months.

$8k+ in total upgrades. The car is made to handle 7k rpms with no problems.

Car NEEDS to go ASAP! I have a couple offers i'm considering, but not ready to give away...

Asking $22,500

There is 2 videos mixed in there...

If interested, please e-mail me [email protected]! put 2001 corvette in subject line to avoid me trashing it for spam!

I have more pics if needed! The car was dusty from being in my heated garage for winter storage. Car located in Southern Minnesota. Car sale will be done at local car dealership to ensure complete deal/fairness.

When you say the engine way professionally built, does that mean when you swapped cam, springs, reatiners, pushrods and heads( or everything that come with the AFR head) that they went through the whole engine and rebuilt it? or does it mean you added these parts(cam, heads, intake) to a 80,000 mile engine? Just trying to get it all clear because their would be alot of questions. thanks

I bought the car as it is... The previous owner told me they built the upper half. Bottom end is stock/untouched.

The car gets 25-28 mpg. The heater/AC both work great!

Every option on this car works as it is supposed to.

***there are 4 things that need to be mentioned:

1. It has a bad battery. I will replace the battery with ANY GM battery of your choice (upon sale)

2. The climate control display fades away after the car is warmed up. ( I will replace this as well)

3. The windshield as a star from a rock. The mark is the size if the end of your thumb, however It was "repaired" with a liquid to stop the crack from spreading as well as reduce it's appearance.

4. There is some smoke on cold starts and on super hot days. The bottom end could use some freshening in the next 10k-20k miles or so. The only reason I say this is because of the smoke. The car is mechanically sound, I'd trust driving it anywhere as it sits. I'd be willing to deal on all engine parts if stock parts are requested (GM).

The car as you can see has a great quality top end. I bought the car planning on re-doing the bottom end. I was looking to go either w/ a 402 or a 408. Either would be a great match to the top end thats on it. I initially took out $4,500 over what I paid for the car to do it, but ended up paying bills with that money when I was laid off of work for 3+ months. I'm very honest about the car and its condition. I'd love to have a neutral 3rd party come look at the car if interested!

I meant to include this in the original posting, but ran out of time. Sorry guys!
