allballz57
I came home yesterday to find the wife on the phone with one of the credit card companies discussing how one of our credit cards got stolen.I was like WTF :mad:I guess somehow someone got one of our card #'s,fabricated a duplicate and went around swiping every credit card reader he could find! The worst part about it is that after charging up over $11,000 dollars in one day the only person who asked for an I.D. or questioned him was at the airport on southwest airlines when he went to pick up a ticket to miami that he bought with our card. The woman at southwest airlines called my wife to see if she had bought a ticket for a man that said he was her husband but had a different last name!?! How stupid are some people Well our credit card company said that we are not liable for the charges but we had to go over all of our purchases for the last couple months. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but this is the same card that is linked to my paypal account on ebay,Just kind of makes me wonder. Well the only downfall is we have no cards for a couple of weeks while they change all of our account #'s.Damn-no ebay for a couple weeks. shreveportSS
These assholes are stealing credit card numbers at hotels, and restaurants, as well as the internet. They need to put thieves to death. There is no lower form of life than a thief.

wody
that sucks to have anything stolen, it makes you feel like ish. my company credit card was stolen right out of my wallet at work even though it was in my tool box. i think it was either the temp cleaners, or this retarted co worker of mine. the stupid thing is, is that whoever it was used it at gas stations and casinos. my work must not care too much. if it were my credit card i would have gone to the casinos and gas stations and checked the video records and seen who it was. i got the names of the temp cleaners though. Yeah, it's a good thing we pay the extra 20 a month for fraud protection otherwise I might be paying for all of this idiots
brobradh77
Ever since we had a scare I am very anal about were i use my card.WARNING I noticed that alot of gas stations and even resturaunts print out the entire card number on the reciept so dont drive off and leave it in the reciept bin. I have complained about just hear that it is not their problem so watch out that could have been what happened.
SSThunder
the problem is a-holes like that that ruin it for all the rest of us and make us pay the exorbitant fees. Yeah, it's a good thing we pay the extra 20 a month for fraud protection otherwise I might be paying for all of this idiots You need to switch cards. I had the same thing happen to me and the card shut it down after a few charges so they basically got $300 worth of stuff. Card shut it down called me and got it fixed ASAP. I don't pay any fraud protection. That sounds like a rip off to me. I think most CC's cover stuff like this for free.
04silveradoclone07ss
i know at the restaurant i work at that it prints the whole credit card number-on the receipt. i brought it up to my boss but he says its just the way the machine works...i don't feel comfortable though knowing my number might be on some receipts. ZZebes
i do Point of Sale for a living and there are rebates from certain merchant companies to not put entire card numbers on reciepts. Like when it is swiped all te information is stored in a database of sorts and then it is batched at the end of the day and clears. but it is way to easy to access these satabase records. all of my implimentations are encoded becuase i some asswipe ran up $23,000 on my Discover card in ONE DAY. Including A CAR, Porn, Strip Clubs, and casinos. I WAS PISSED.
