6.0vortech
I finally got the time to take off the extra brackets. Now the cut down bump stops are bolted directly to the frame. Took about an hour and I didn't have to take off the wheels. In fact I was able to unbolt the brackets without jacking up the truck. Once the nuts were removed, I jacked up the rear enough for the brackets to come free of the frame and dropped it back down. Attaching the bump stop directly to the frame was simple. It is already drilled for it including the small hole for the locating tab. Pretty easy. I could already tell a difference just in driving up the gravel driveway. I'll take it out for a drive later today and let you know how it goes. Hows the ride now after moving the bump stops? Jeff B
Hows the ride now after moving the bump stops? Ride is very smooth now. I haven't pushed it in the corners, yet but it feels pretty good. I still want to upgrade the shocks and add some sway bars. I'm determined to get this 5000+ lb truck to handle like a sports car.
