I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit. In order to get that paycheck.. I am required to pass a random urine test, which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass. tawss04 Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 I feel your pain unfortunately that will probably never happen though I do beleive I heard something along the lines the people who receive a check, not just welfare will have to take a drug test, the government doesn't want to pay for someones drug habit. Lets see if it really happens, you know that somebody who it on it will cry discrimination and they will be the one who would fail the test. I would vote for this, its a really good idea. People shouldnt get paid to have 5 babies in a 2 room house with 4 dogs, and a 44" plasma flat screen with every channel to watch, and some pot to smoke because their life resembles a pile of dog shit. I know a few guys that install cable, Ive heard of a few examples like the one above. IMO welfare is dumb, get a damn job. Granted people make mistakes and everyone needs help to get on their feet once in their lives, but damn. Welfare should have a limit, like a few years and then your cut off.
