ssaman Posted April 25, 2007 Report Share Posted April 25, 2007 I decided to paint my grill black because gray was getting pretty bland. so I took two hours to detach the grill from the front end and went crazy. I did this too, and think it looks remenicent of the old Chevelle/El Camino SS grilles being blacked out instead of gray like the regular models. ssaman Posted April 26, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2007 I just used some flat black from a rattle can. Did about 3 coats and about 3 coats of clear. The only hard part is getting the grill off of the front end its attached to. the grill is set into the front end by about 15ish clamps sealed with melted plastic.
