usabodyguard
i went to get in my truck tonight to go to dinner with some friends and the alarm didnt turn off... i kept trying it and nothing... as i got closer i saw that the alarm led wasnt blinking i instantly thought - shit, someone has broken into my truck... opened the doors with the key and nothing came on, no lights, nothing... i tried to start the engine... and no luck... battery is dead... i opened the film and i heard a noise.... the supercharger intercooler pump was making a slight noise... the culprit! yes the key was off... so i pulled the fuse box and looked for the relay and tapped it a couple of times and it stopped... then for the next hour i had to switch batteries and charge the optima and replace it... ugh... all in all i spent almost two hours, missed dinner with friends... but hey... thats the downside of owning a modified truck... I got off easy this time...

04CHASE
if it was an optima yellow top , you didnt need to replace it , they are deep cycle batteries they are meant to be drained and charged!

wody
did you replace the relay as well?
usabodyguard
i guess i mis-spoke... i did NOT replace the battery, just put the old one back in to start and then swapped the optima back in and ran it for a bit. I am going in today to JPA to have them look over the system and replace the relay...
