EBc5Z06
I was pretty pleased with my results of my truck last night. I got in a total of 11 runs but 5 of them were actuall bracket racing and so i wont include them, but i won all 5 of my races. My first pass was the best of the night, probably cause i got there an hour early and so the truck sat for an hour and had a nice cool down. I was also racing with 3/4 tank of gas and full weight. Didnt feel like taking out the spare tire or jack. Temp 74* and No Stall RT... -.035 60ft... 2.227 1/8... 9.864 @ 71.489 1/4... 15.47 @ 86.238 Temp 75* and 1200 Stall RT... .084 60ft... 2.238 1/8... 9.888 @ 71.307 1/4... 15.51 @ 86.104 Temp 75* and 1200 Stall RT... .265 (oops) 60ft... 2.244 1/8... 9.912 @ 71.247 1/4... 15.551 @ 85.784 Temp 77* and No Stall RT... .203 (oops again) 60ft... 2.257 1/8... 9.987 @ 70.373 1/4... 15.672 @ 85.167 Temp 75* and 1200 Stall RT... .075 60ft... 2.250 1/8... 9.947 @ 71.053 1/4... 15.591 @ 85.957 Temp 73* and 1200 Stall RT... .071 60ft... 2.258 1/8... 9.908 @ 71.558 1/4... 15.504 @ 86.665 Then we started racing and i had one freak one where i hit 15.71 and i was in it the whole way, never got on the brakes at all. There was also 40 minute break inbetween so i dont know what happend there. Once i get some money for some mods im gonna get a volant CAI and a Magnaflow Cat-back. NashSS
That seems slow for a ss but stock i guess its not bad. just wait until you do intake exhaust and a custom pcm tune and youll be very surprised if you do the volant cold air intake get the tube for our trucks that goes down to the right brake vent. Does the tube make that much of a difference? Ive read that you see the benefits mostly at highway speeds.

EBc5Z06
not bad times to start with .my 06 vmax 4x4 ran a 15.2 with a pcm tune 14 s are not far away. you just need a few mods Mods will hopefully be coming either this winter or next spring. Volant CAI, and a Magnaflow cat-back for now. I might think of adding a higher stall TC, but then ill probably want to add a shift kit and tranny cooler and then get a tune and then headers. Appearance mods will be coming shortly too, 2/2 drop and probably add 22"s or 24"s for show, and possilby a cowl induction hood, darker tint, some kind of sweet stereo system. I need to stop typing now before i get into trouble or come up with any more ideas, like HID headlights, oh god make it stop. My ultimate plans are either swap a LSx into it or go F/I. But thats many many years down the road, have to get through college first. Edited July 29, 2007 by EBc5Z06 (see edit history)
