dcairns
So, what is going to be the first modification to your SS? For me, it is going to be getting the leather seats re-upholstered in cloth.
red-ss
quick question just out of curiosity... what about the ss emblem thats on the seat
dcairns
I am just having the parts that contact the body re-upholstered in cloth. I am going to leave the headrest alone. I like the way cloth breathes, compared to leather and the wife hates how cold/hot leather can be. Since the head rests are not normally in contact with the body, they won't need to be changed. Besides, we are paying ALOT for those SS stickers, don't want to lose that
LarryE
The "leather" seats actually don't change temperatures that much in chevy trucks because get this they don't use leather it's more of a pleather material that's made from vynyl and leather particles. if you dislike "leather" that much just trade with someone that has cloth seats and just keep the headrests
ozark66
DC, if I am not mistaken, the seats are heated
ozark66
My first and ONLY modification will be to paint the on-star and the XM antennas to match the truck VICTORY RED P.S. if the wheels do in fact come painted, then I will get them chromed. dcairns
Pleather? Is that like 'fine Corinthian leather'Montalbán voice>? Actually I prefer the breathability of cloth, as I perspire easily. I have never had heated seats before, so I don't know how long they take to heat up, but it would need to be warm rather quickly for the wife. They would also need to cool down real fast in the summer. Cloth has always done good for me in those departments.

dcairns
Supercharger is on my list, but not first, since I want to make sure the engine is somewhat broken in (4000-5000 miles) before I do my baseline dyno and 1/4 mile tests. MilleniumSS03
DC, I see your reasons behind wanting cloth but I must say I rarely ever hear people say Gimme Cloth! That is cool though. Gotta take care of the little lady!
