EDGE EVO eec2200 programmer custom options

I have had many different programmers in the past and all the ones I have used have options that you can adjust. Most common ones are: raise speed limiter & raise rev limiter & shift firmness & shift point & tire size & different gear ratios & electric fan speeds.

These come with SuperChips, Flashpaq & Diablo Sport & all Hypertech models & Jet Perf., and so we're told / THE ALL NEW EDGE EVO FOR GAS TRUCKS \

What I am asking is does any one have the new EDGE EVO for their GM gas trucks and are you having problems with programing and getting the CUSTOM OPTIONS that they state it comes with? On the web site it said there were about 9 different ADJUSTABLE CUSTOM OPTIONS the unit has to offer and 4 different octane levels but after about 2 months of barely being able to use the EVO because it didnt support my V-max like they said it would. Now they got it to somewhat work on my truck and they are telling me (tire size & gear ratio & speed limiter) are the only options they will ever offer. But if you call them customer service will tell you about all the adjustable options they offer including((( ADJUSTING TORQUE MANAGEMENT))) and about 9 other options. Don't know off hand what the other options were called exactly #1 Tire Size

#2 Speed Limiter

#3 Gear Ratio

#4 Timing

#5 WOT Fuel

#6 Shift Firmness

#7 WOT Shift Points

#8 Standard Shift Points

#9 Rev Limiter

I know custom tunes are the way to go but some of us want the ability to turn them on & off or want to choose a towing tune when needed.

If EDGE hears that we are not happy with their choice not to allow us the adjustable options they said it has, then maybe if marketing heres this enough they will give the options back.

So if you have input on this please reply to this. I am positive they are watching this topic on this forum. I told them I was posting this, and they said they are going to monitor it.

PS: Thank you for any input you may have!

I've heard over and over and over that a custom tune is the only way to go (and a dyno tune is even better), that being said, If I had to have two different tunes (one for fun and one for work), I would just as soon buy 2 PCMs, and swap them when needed... Either that or see if a good tuner could rig the Tow/Haul button for you to switch the tuning...

2 pcm's would be great but when no one even hase a core for a nbs 2007 1500 V MAX this is what i have to deal with until that happens.

And i cant afford to not drive my truck for a week or two so i can send mine out to be tuned

the only problems with switching PCm's from what i have been told is it takes about 150 miles for the tune to fully take affect I could say. So duno If switching back and forth for different driving conditions/moods would really work well. maybe Zippy or Justin will chime in or someone else woth the knowledge.

My buddy just got one for his F150 and LOVES it. He had a hypertech before and swears this is 100X better. I think you would get more power from a custom tune but its supposed to have good monitoring abilities. Also Fords don't have custum tuning as available as we do.
