rgp6373
we will probably take most of it apart right there and transport it on lowboys to our shop and rebuild it there
Big O
I thought the 797(b) were only in the 340 - 360 ton range depending on who's quoting the numbers. Either way a 4 million dollar truck shouldn't do that, especially since they haven't been around very long? 3 years maybe? Is that at your job? Impressive piece of machinery *** I just glanced at the pictures and didn't read what you were showing ... we are not that big at our coal mine, we had the worlds largest excavator for awhile ... but not anymore *** Edited September 9, 2007 by Big O (see edit history)

rgp6373
the 797a is only rated to 360 ton but we quite regularly put 400 ton on them .and my mstake that one is a 797a, and this is the first one this has happend to. our mine has had them for almost 8 years now . there are 14 , 797a's in our fleet and 15 797b's as well as 36 komatsu 930e . the 797b is rated to 390 ton in our application and yes i run them but i ususally run the shovels that load them now ( p&h 4100boss )

detjoe
40 extra tons of fun
rgp6373
its not the 40 extra tons that caused it more likely is the bump he hit before that when all six wheels were in the air ( it does happen and its a hell of a ride just really hard on the truck )
