thomp62301 Posted November 3, 2007 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) contact zippy, he can get the other things you need to prolong the life of you trans. so far i have 7 or 8 bottles through my truck on a 150 shot and havn't had any issues yet. with all the other mods and tuning i have done this fall, i'm hoping to run a high 11 or very low 12 on the track when i go next weekend. i see you have a tune from wheatley. if you have a basic performance tune, you might want to get that changed or the trans will be the least of your worries. Fireman31 Posted November 3, 2007 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 You started beefing the trans up with the servos already, finish the job w/converter, shift kit, and larger trans cooler. evandostert Posted November 5, 2007 Report Share Posted November 5, 2007 I have run 20+ bottles and have 60k on my truck. The stock tranny and engine have held up this far. This way to much towing have just about killed my stock block and tranny. They are still working and running, just starting to feel worn out.
