SSThunder
OK. My cat code keeps coming back so I'm thinking about gutting my dynatech cats. I don't know what material makes up the dynatech cats so is it possible to gut them with rebar? I put the dynatech system on so I plan to do the work. I also have hp tuners and need to know what needs to be done to my tune. As far as I know all I need to do to the tune is turn off some sensor codes since the rear o2 don't affect anything. Is that correct. I plan to do all this next weekend. I still have my DD so I can drive it for now.

Ross
Ram those bitches out with a prybar I'm not endorsing this method but I did it to yukon and then started the truck up for a few seconds with the exhaust unhooked and it blew everything out - it was amazing how much came out that I missed. again, I did it this way...might not be the best way to do it but it worked and I had no issues
packjh
if you take them off all the way they are easy to clean out. That pry bar method will work as well
srtSSsvt121
What are the benefits of gutting them, sound or horsepower? Do you think i could get a performance place to gut them and tune it so the sensors don't go off??? I have the long tubes on there and it is really hard to do it myself
Holty
If you take them completely off they are super easy to gut. i used a screwdriver on mine.
