Fireman31
sounds like you broke a valve spring, valve, or pushrod..........could even be a spun bearing I knew it, hope it works out for you man
detjoe
I have seen the top coil break but half way down?? I am emailing comp today! but motivating myself to swap em is going to be tuff.
Quik
makes even question if you should even think of using 918s again. for alittle more in money dual springs work well. that does suck very much. did it damage the piston at all? I agree, why put them back. execpt they will send a free replacement. how many miles do they recommend changing them?
Quik
here ya go, get new 918s. sell them and then use the money towards a good dual spring setup. this way you can run a bigger cam come down the road

Holty
the new 918's that Comp is sending out are completely redesigned. They are able to support MUCH more cam lift and are supposed to be a much better spring all around. They are also supposed to be much quieter. see here: http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Catalogs.../pdf/05of24.pdf
