I have a standered cab short bed with 285/50/20 on there right now. if i were to buy a 4"/6" drop kit for my truck, do you think that anything will rub or hit. if so should i use thiner tires or what. TxCrew Posted December 28, 2007 Report Share Posted December 28, 2007 you will rub in more than one way.especially in the front. when i had my 20s on 285/ 50s i rubbed in the front fender when i turned hard. you will definitley have to swap those tires, maybe even rims to be able to roll so low. kelleyperformance Posted December 30, 2007 Report Share Posted December 30, 2007 your rims are fine.... the SS2 wheels were like OE offset so they will tuck. i had an 05 tahoe with a 3/4 with 22" SS2s and it tucked just fine. however, your gunna need a narrower tire for a 4/6 just to be safe. you shouldnt rub while driving, but you definately will when u-turning or parking, no matter what Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
