What Should I Do About The Tranny?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm coming up on my first transmission fluid change and while I'm at it I'm going to add a transgo shift kit, I already have billet 2nd and 4th servos. I'm going to be using AMSOIL tranny fluid hopefully that will help some. I was wondering if I can go ahead and add a mild cam if the tranny will hold. I have about every other bolt on right now and am not ready to blow it or juice it...yet. Well if youguys could chime in that would be great, Zippy & 04Chase would really like your guys opinions on this one. Other then that my trans am project is well underway.

first tans fluid change?? how many miles do you have on it? depending on what cam you go with if you just do a small cam w/o a stall you should be fine, but if you get mild/agressive cam w/ a converter, trans cooler, aluminum accum. pistons, you would be better off running the dex VI fluid in your trans
