But i can tell you this Chase, my flames looked more real for a while, and were far more expensive... lol haha atleast ya able to crack jokes n laugh. I'd go hide in a corner in my room haha. No we haven't determined what the cause was yet. I doubt they will be able to pin point it because the extent of the burn. But the truck is being shipped out of town for salvage auction either friday or monday and once it reaches the destination a rep from GM and a fire origin specialist will investigate the truck fully, to see if they can come up with anything. Talked to the insurance guy today and he said i should get a figure on what they're going to cut me a check for within the next 24 hours. State farm is my insurance co. I am living at a friends house right now, the smoke damage wasn't bad but bad enough we cant live there, and the smell is terrible.We have a restoration company coming in on friday to start going through the house and fixing EVERYTHING, and getting rid of the smell. All of my stuff and my parents stuff are saturated with smoke, and we cant live in the house for 1-2 months. Its really weird having my world turned upside-down and going from having everything to very little. its very humbling in my shoes right now. The funny thing is my parents are going to Hawaii on friday for 11 days and i get to stay here and deal with all this house/truck crap plus run the family biz while they are gone. I'm planning a little vacation for myself this comming weekend, i'm going to go ice fishing with some buddies and get wicked drunk. its gonna be great. I can tell you that it was mechanical, not electrical and was not an aftermarked part. You guys will be the first to know when its certain. We lost every thing and it was most likley b/c the TV blew up...my parents were too busy getting us clothes to worry about a lawsuit. We were lucky b/c my dad just bought an investment property...our new house. Do keep us posted but try to enjoy your vacation, you deserve it. And if your incident wasn't bad enough, there were the tornadoes in the southeastern part of the U.S. this week, and here in my hometown of Savannah the Sugar plant exploded killing at least 4 people now and injuring tons more!!
