uh_track
Well im in the process of selling all my speed parts from my lightning and looks like i might have enough cash by the end of the week to start buying some go fast goodies for the new SS. I have a question about the CAI for these trucks im stuck between the K&N and the volant is it really that important to have a closed box on the CAI or not my lightning did not have a closed box intake and it worked just fine
12'SROCK
nope mine is open box and my IAT are fine, i have the AEM Brute Force Intake with the Dryflow filter (oil free) and i love it. it has a 9"x6" filter with 4" pipe

smoke03
I have a volant but never tried the open box styles of CAI's. I love my intake. There was a defiante power AND fuel mileage increase +1 for Volant!
yttaf
get the volant with a clear cover then you have the best of both worlds

12'SROCK
when i had the volant scoop on my last ss with trueflo intake modifies for the tube, i didnt feel a difference, only real difference was that the filter got dirty REALLY fast. for each their own
