smoke03
Ok ive heard this term around the forums several times but never understood the concept. Can Someone please explain to me what drive by wire really means? Sorry if this is a stupid question...

Badkarma
And yes there is a small lag between driver imput and actually moving of the throttle blades by the DBW setup. Very annyoning.
2006SilverSS
And yes there is a small lag between driver imput and actually moving of the throttle blades by the DBW setup. Very annyoning. that there is, on the Audi A4 I had before the SSS was even worse than the SS is. I'm still torn on if DBW is the way to go. 12'SROCK
even though there is a delay in the SS DBW there isnt any gain from tweaking the response to it at all, and those words are coming from a tuner (not me obviously)
CoolBlueSS
Mine is very sensitive off of idle. It's annoying as hell at low speeds. Sounds like it surging. Maybe some flowers will help.

kaotik1
What is really means is, the throttle pedal has a potentometer tied into it. This controls a motor at the throttle body and the correspond in realtime movements together... Well are suppose to any how. They are coupled by wires, and not a cable like a carburator is. Badkarma
i guess it all depends on what you are used to driving. My daily drived before the SS was my camaro with a full roller stroker and a custom built carb... very responsive. Maybe thats why I think there is a little lag. saytagf
I feel the lag...and kinda enjoy it cuz i like to puch it then let go and hear it rev up without taking off :cold: this is when already rolling of course
