david matthews
I was wondering if any of you 04 ss drivers have heard a sort of rubbing noise when turning sharp right at quite a slow speed. It seems to be coming from front right wheel area ??. thanks for your comments

Plwtwo
My '03 does it when I turn left. The right tire rubs the inner fender at slow speeds and in reverse.

evandostert
Did you look at the torsion bars. My drivers side bar was so far off that the truck was offset 1.5" lower on the drivers side.
d walker
Me too! But not sure it is a rubbing--more like the sound my Z71 used to make when it was in 4 wheel mode. Can it have to do with the all wheel drive?
steve summers
Mine has the same "growl" that my 2001 Yukon XL, my '99 Suburban, and my '94 Silverado all had when they are in 4WD. I don't care for it but am convinced it is just a "normal" sound of AWD or 4WD.
