O2 WS6 TA
Thinking about sitting it down more, anyone who tows with their truck lowered? I don't pull ridiculous weight, but my car and trailer are right at 6,000 LBS. Feedback?
NTMD8R_SS
What method are you using to lower it down? and how much?
12'SROCK
i think with a 2"/2" you will be fine with towing
NTMD8R_SS
i think with a 2"/2" you will be fine with towing Yeah, but if you go lower in the back like 4" i would recommend you get helper bags.
kckid1695
Mine is lowered 4" in the back and use helper bags on the rear. I havn't had any problems towing with it. I also have the frame notch so the axle dosn't bottom out.
mean05
i do just fine with a 2/2 drop...i tow all the time
Turbocoop
I towed a boat with mine once, I have a 4" drop in the back. It was just sitting on the bump stops the whole time. I got a tuned pcm and I said "no towing" so I took off the hitch reciever so no more towing for me. It did good though, no problems getting it in and out of the water. It was a heavy ass boat too
O2 WS6 TA
i do just fine with a 2/2 drop...i tow all the time Any more pics of your truck? It's hard to see how the drop looks- I'm wondering if it's measurably lower than mine?
mean05
i think ours is about the same...i turned the keys down over an inch and 2" shackles in the back
O2 WS6 TA
i think ours is about the same...i turned the keys down over an inch and 2" shackles in the back I think you're right...Mine has about the right rake unloaded, but with the car behind it a bit lower in rear than I'd like. I cranked the front down about an inch, and the rear is stock. Maybe I ought to quit worrying about it.
NTMD8R_SS
Yeah man you'll be fine, even if you put 2" shackles in the rear, just trim the rear bumpstops.

Lefty
I tow a 5k lb Travel Trailer around during the summer. Get yourself a Husky Round Bar Weight Distribution Hitch, or similar, and your problem will go away.
desrtrat
I tow a 5k lb Travel Trailer around during the summer. Get yourself a Husky Round Bar Weight Distribution Hitch, or similar, and your problem will go away. it's a very good investment for anyone who tows. it also helps put weight back on your front wheels, great for stopping and turning properly on wet/dry roads
