BTW ... I was just thinking the other day that we have not heard from you, regarding this issue. so obviously 2WD trucks dont have this problem, did the insurance guy say anything about something similar happening on trucks that are 2WD? Fireman31 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Share Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) **Just food for thought, you said it came from the front diff/CV area, I remember a GM recall of power steering lines that could fracture and cause a fire. If memory serves correct, these lines are in the same general area that the origin of the fire was pinpointed to.......like I said food for thought.
