novanet Posted February 20, 2004 Report Share Posted February 20, 2004 Hey guys, What size NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs do I need for my SS? Not sure about heat range, either. I am having Supermaxx Header system, Corsa exhaust, Volant intake, Taylor Thundervolt wires, Flex-a-lite fans, and ASP under/overdrive pulleys installed in 1-2 weeks. Will any of this affect the heat range of the plug? It just seemed like a good time to change out the plugs also while doing the headers. Anyway, I can't find anywhere on the net or NGK's website what size/spec Iridium IX Spark Plugs to get for our truck. Can anybody help me out? Thanks! BenKey Posted February 20, 2004 Report Share Posted February 20, 2004 The 55IX should be good for you, unless you intend to add blower or shoot N2O. If so, you would go to the 6IX. Just a recommendation. Most guys with power adders use TR-6, and non TR-55. Those are non-iridium part numbers. Iridiums are pretty expensive, but it's what I use.
