The only real difference is that the Taylors have a shorter spark plug boot then the MSDs. Many guys here(myself included) have had issues with the MSDs touching the primaries because of the long spark plug boot on them, the Taylors solve that problem and only cost $5 more. Next job is to clean up those valve covers I painted mine flat black and I think it looks pretty sweet. Just my opinion. All in all looks good! wdp327 Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 oh yeah i got some hi flow cats as well. i really wasnt happy with the install it was a pain in the a$$ on the passenger side. i like the taylor wires i also put in NGK iridium tr55 plugs. i fired it up with open headers oh man it is loud as hell. The stock plug wires have around 1000 ohms of resistance per foot, the Taylor/MSD wires have around 50 ohms of resistance per foot. A bigger wire can deliver a cleaner, hotter, and more consistent spark to the plugs using less energy. In other words, they are a bit more efficient.
