a friend of mine just finished installing pacesetter LTs on his 5.3 silverado and he tells me the check engine light is on w/ a temp fault high code and his engine temp gauge doesnt work. as far as the codes are concerned i told him to get his truck a custom tune and it should fix them. but his engine temp guage not working i'm clueless. what do yall think he could of done wrong..maybe he disconnected something on accident and if so...what?

yeah he probably hit the ect sensor, its on the driverside head toward the front of the engine. id check there first.

That's my bet, did the same thing on my install, it was almost connected, just had to snap it back tight.

thanx chase! you were right on the money! my friend said he knocked the sensor loose and pushed it back in till it clicked and everythings working just fine now!
