GnatGoSplat
I haven't seen anyone mention these particular kit part #'s, just wondering if anyone knows what they consist of? 2004 CHEVY SS TRUCK AWD #SS2E $214 #SS2D $385 I'd call and ask, but I'm not allowed non-work related LD calls which is where I am all day. ctrow
As far as I know the only difference is the $214 kit uses torsion keys to lower the front whereas the $385 kit is using spindles in front. Everything else should be the same, rear hangers, rear shackles, etc.
GnatGoSplat
Any idea how this differs from the 99+ kit? 99+ CHEVY / GMC TRUCK Part # Price 99+-2/4 DELUXE $
ctrow
I can't be for certain but if it's for 2WD models, it's probably springs for that kit instead of spindles. I'd imagine everything else would be the same for the rear.
yorgog
Where did you get your parts from. Is there an online vendor that sells the McGaughy's SS lowering kits. Also are those the correct part numbers.

adams2003
Get the "2/4 Deluxe kit" for 99 + chevy trucks. Thats the kit I just installed on my truck the other day. Here's a pic.
yorgog
Did you guys change or modify your bumpstops? If you changed what did you get.
yorgog
I was wondering how they ride also. Do they bottom out and do they sag when you have payload or passengers in the truck. Does anyone know what the difference in the McGaughy's ss specific kit is as opposed to the 1500 kit.
adams2003
Did you guys change or modify your bumpstops? If you changed what did you get. I changed my bumpstops. Not sure what brand but Ill check. You can also cut the orignal bumpstops down. Mine bottoms out once and a while. Ive had it for like three days now and its bottomed out 3 times. Better shocks in the rear might eliminate this though.
