dubdaddy420
Okay I have 305/35/24 tires on my truck right now, but I have a set of stock tahoe wheels 265/70/16. If I use the stock tahoe wheels in the back for track runs will it make a big difference, or any at all,or should I just invest in some slicks? 12'SROCK
use thestock rims an put slicks on them, yes there will be an improvement im sure your 24s weigh more then the stocks
JF-03-SS
I would say your 24's weigh 40-50 lbs ea. more then the 16's. It def. will make a difference.

JF-03-SS
Yeah my 24's weigh 95lbs a peice but i have no clue what the 16's weigh If I remember collectly my spare (265/75/16 on steel wheel) weight 65lbs. So that is roughly 30 lbs per wheel/tire
04CHASE
they will help but getting out of the hole will be hard. your 24's actually help you there being so heavy but i guarantt your trap will rise a considerable amount. why not just make a run with the 24's and then a run with the 16's to see where you gained what also the slicks on the stocks has worked before. Bear
I don't remember the mph difference, but on my friends Magnacharged Sierra Denali, he dropped 4 tenths switching back to the factory 17's from his heavy ass 24's.
CenWaSS
With my 22's (85lbs) I ran basically even with another Sss running 14.7's. Switched all fours to 16's (52lbs) and I ran 14.
